An enormous piranha. It appeared in the same dream as Ice Wyvern and Scylla , as the dream itself was sort of a guide to aquatic monsters.

I've picked up the whole of Lovecraft's written works on audiobook, thanks to Audible - honestly I generally find the dream-cycle stuff less enjoyable than the other material, but there is some interesting stuff there. I am thinking of trying my hand at writing some Cthulhu mythos of my own invention - I'll probably be looking to your art (among others) for inspiration

Oh definately - I really enjoyed the Dunwich Horror, the Colour Out of Space and others like Charles Dexter Ward and the Shadow over Innsmouth, those are really what I'm aiming for.

I often get my ideas for how to depict Lovecraftian creatures from dreams. This is especially valid for the creatures that are a part of Dream Cycle. What a better source lore-wise than dreams themselves.
