Description
Rewatching Trey's excellent analysis of the incident has inspired me to give this one some more color. In my interpretation, the organic creature/space suit theories are mixed having it wearing organic bio-suit. The weird spade-shaped headpiece possibly is the part of the suit that assimilates gases from our atmosphere and metabolizes them into a mixture that's breathable for the pilot.

I got mothman somewhere here too. very much recommend Trey the Explainer analysis of both those creatures on youtube. They were what inspired me to draw them.

Yes, and not the typical boring gray

Like the biosuit idea! I find this one kind of cute!

That makes sense. The mist or gas might have been part of some atmospheric survival technology, and possibly an open system adaptive breather rather than a closed system rebreather like a space suit.

Yes, this would allow it to function in an alien environment much longer than if it had to bring a supply.

I am wondering does this suit convert water into oxygen? or just brings the supply of it? If it's the first option then yup, that's basically something like that.

It only brings a supply along with it from the surface. I'd thought of the similarities because of the shape. Form follows function. Convergent evolution of designs from entirely different cultures of engineers attempting to solve the same general task. More details on WASP atmospheric diving suits are available here .

In that case, I think some space technology, like the generators producing oxygen from water and other things used on ISS are the best analogues of this we have today.

Nice work! This is really cool - I really like the idea of the suit being an organic bio-suit. I think it would be really cool if you did a larger landscape style pic with background and everything showing a few of these aliens storming through the woods at night - it could be kept pretty dark with main source of illumination coming from their glowing red eyes.

Thank you for suggestions. And yes. I do consider learning to do landscapes/scenes. Damn, maybe even traditional paintings. This year or next.

Oh yes, you absolutely must! This year - not next haha because 'next year' always turns into 'next year' and then the year after that, etc., as I've learned from my own personal experience.
My recommendation: make a mental goal to take some time over the course of the next month to step outside, if only for like 30 minutes, and draw your surroundings from your observations and then go from there - perhaps you can draw one of your creature/monster designs into the pic - in any case, I'm confident you will be happy you took the chance and will wonder why you didn't do so sooner, trust me ;D

I get what you mean, but I am not really this type of person that constantly postpones everything. In this year I've started/developed many new aspects of my art, probably biggest breakthrough being color/background. I don't want to rush stuff
