Great picture!
I was wondering if I can propose you something. Actually I'm working as developer in a little indie group in an Android game called "Kingdoms of Myth", it's turn based strategy game based on a fantasy World. You can find a little bit more info in this rough website made by my colleges lifeisinfinity.eu5.org/infinit… (Sorry for the bad English). We have liked your art and we would like to ask you if you want to collaborate with us making one fantasy picture. The theme of the picture would be very opened, so you are not going to be forced to draw nothing that you do not want to. Of course you will have full credits of your work and link to your webpage if you want . What do you think?
Lot of thanks for your time
P.D: By the way we just created now a Facebook with more recent pictures: www.facebook.com/kingdomsofmyt…

Nice pic of the goddess Kali, and good to see you have included all of her proper divine attributes, crown and skulls. It's not always one gets to see someone who remembers the 'severed hands' (or forearms, as the case would be)-attribute.
It is interesting how she is also Durga (the goddess of war), and Parvati (the goddess of love), and what a common concept it is across cultures to have the deity of love and war be one and the same, like Sekhmet and Hathor being two sides of the same goddess in Egyptian religion, and Ishtar having a procreative and destructive aspect in Mesopotamian religion. Guess it symbolizes how creation and destruction are interconnected.

Yes, She perfectly reflects this duality! And I think it is great. Maybe that's where my fascination comes.

Never get enough of Kali. One of the 'only' traditional symbols revered across cultures that I've any respect for.

According to Hinduism now we live during Kali's era so at the moment it is our chief goddess. Maybe to someone it isn't pleasant, or someone doesn't want to belief in this. IMHO: all what I see and feel in our real life quite will be coordinated with what is written in Mahabharata and Puranas about Kali Yuga (the fourth era) Based on the dating specified in the Puranas I get calculated that we needed to suffer about 426880 years. Anyway it is much better than eternal sufferings in hell

Yup, it always surprised me not really how big the numbers are but how PRECISE they got about this stuff.
That is kind of pessimistic about you. The world has its problems, some are unfixable but overall I'd say things are slowly getting better around here. As for Kali herself, it's worth to remember that while modern media often portray Her as the incarnation of evil, originally She was a much more complex figure. I have a tome of poetry dedicated to Kali called Mother of the Universe, some excellent stuff down there.

Indeed in Hinduism Kali exclusively positive character, she kills demons, helps people to pacify their ego and reach desires, etc. At the same time Kali Yuga is the last era in the cycle. At this stage the entropy in system reaches critical amount...

Indeed!
That's one of the things I like so much about the Dharmic religions: the concept of a Cyclical universe, Hinduism claiming the world being created and destroyed and recreated over and over again, while the Buddhists and Jains do not believe in a creation, but that the cosmos goes through regular cycles of good and bad ages to live in.

Ghoulishly beautiful representation. The burning skull is a nice touch, as is the choice of music.

Well, there's this one album I discovered in a shop by pure chance. Not really my thing style-wise, but still worth checking out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr2oG9…
Also, this song, which is not Kali-specific, but has some more general hindu themes (and kabbalah too for good measure), and is also quite good musically: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz_alC…
