The queen of witches and archenemy of BarongA demon hag of Balinese folklore, infamously known as the queen of black magic and all evil spirits. Although she is greatly feared by the natives for her power over plagues, priests will nonetheless dress as her in ceremonial dances to summon her power and cleanse villages of evil influences. She was the apprentice of Durga, the goddess of death, and she is the eternal nemesis of Barong, the bestial king of good spirits. - Joe

Downright stunning, Mike. I knew I could trust your badass/creepy imagination for illustrating Barong and his hellish rival.
I love the original native costumes, but your design is something else! It clearly represents the costumes, with the freakishly long fingers and tongue and tusks, but in a nightmarish-realistic way so unique to yourself. This is a monster I can imagine spreading disease and eating babies, a monster I can imagine manifesting in the shadows, and a monster I sure as hell wouldn't want to meet.
