Description
An archetypical vampire; Inspired by Stoker, Vampire Counts from WHFB, Heroes of Might and Magic, movie Van Helsing and possibly other things but fortunately not Twilight.
Several of his bat familiars circle around him ready to do his bidding; His own cloak possesses shapeshifting capabilities, taking an outline of a bat's wing here.

Actually, I have never played Warhammer in any of it's incarnations. Several of my closest friends do play, but only say "Warhammer." This being the case, I know nothing about the game, other than many intelligent people enjoy it.

I may prefer the weirder proboscis wielding vampires of the weirder mythologies, But I really love these modern ones.

I think the inspiration from WHFB stands out the most. This looks a lot like John Blanche's paintings of the Vampire Counts for the major re-vamp they had some years back.

To be honest I didn't see the paintings, I just looked at the miniatures to get the feel of them.

Lucky coincidence then, since Blanche has a very wispy style similar to yours. The main difference is that he often likes to use very bright yellows and reds to colour his paintings, but somehow he manages to do it without making the end result look garish.

Agreed, they look awesome. I've always been a bit more fond of Tomb Kings' Egyptian style. Still there are some units, such a Varghulf that I really like.

Yeah. As cool as the models for the Stormcast Eternals are, they do not really feel like they belong in Warhammer. I'd prefer a return to the way things were prior to The Age of Sigmar, as well as a new edition of Mordheim.

Definitely one of the cooler vampires. Definitely beats anything we see in movies these days.
I like how your design acknowledges that vampires are both corpses and shapeshifters. A lot of people forget the more ghoulish origin of vampires.
