Commission done for ~MercenaryX . Now that Rhea is a mermaid she decides to go on a shopping trip with her mother and Lucky. Kyra is adjusting Rheas' breast, much to her surprise, as she asks Lucky and the sales mermaid Gigi if they think the top she's wearing looks good. Lucky is highly embarrassed and tries to look away but it's too late. He's already gotten an eyeful. Gigi is super excited to be helping Rhea find new tops and holds out one she thinks would look good on the young mermaid.Rhea and Lucky are characters from my comic Moon Reflected in Water [link] while Kyra and a younger version of Lucky can be found in Tsubomi Blue Dreams [link] . Oh, I see it now. Lucky's tail wasn't super long. Everyone's tail is kinda big. Rhea just seems short o-o Poor girl. I feel the pain of the shortness. Whenever I look at their relationship, I always wonder who is the "kiddo" in the relationship. Since neither of them seem like "pants/dominant" people. Are they? o:

Sorry about the super late reply, I just saw your comment. The lights are just seashells that glow in the dark. They are from a made up bio luminescent creature that shells glow like light bulbs. If the picture wasn't so color adjusted you'd see the shells in the rock.
All of their tales are a little long but Luckys' is much bigger because he's a guy. They are both pretty innocent and childlike so it's hard to say who'd be dominant. But if I had to choose I'd say it would be Rhea. She's knows a bit more about the world and how it works. Plus Lucky is a nice guy and would do anything for her.

Thank you! I don't plan on doing a comic specifically for this drawing unless it's another commission. But another drawing of the characters is in the work that's a continuation of the Lucky/Rhea pairing.

I just think it's because of how "Slice-of-life" this is that makes the interaction and the reaction of Rhea and Lucky all the better in contrast with Rhea' mom and the sales girl who think it's is perfectly normal behavior based off social norms of the merfolk culture in that part of the undersea world.

I agree, its such an everyday activity that it adds to the hilarity of the situation. Merfolk are generally much more comfortable with their bodies. But Lucky grew up in a more sheltered home so some things are shocking to even him.
