Thanks! I kinda made her to compliment Creshock's OC's Cherry Bloom, Peach Bloom, etc. and I feel like she's probably one of my most underrated OC's (that I didn't create for a fanfic).

I'll have to agree to disagree on that; Alicorns are a pretty overrated species when it comes to OC's because they're both unicorns and pegasus which pretty much makes them perfect. However, yes, I think it is a welcome change to have a fourth species alongside Unicorns and Pegasi.

Species-wise and concept-wise, I think alicorns started out as a fusion of a pegasus and a unicorn, but became a separate species of its own. So, having both wings and a horn doesn't make them "perfect." -_-
Also, alicorns aren't overrated, more like misrepresented.
I mean, what proof do we have that they're godlike and all-powerful, anyways? Literally none.

Well, namely, all we know about alicorns is taken from the princesses (really, I’m more curious about how Tempest Shadow and Fluer di Les have the same body type as Cadence despite not being Princesses), and how people assume they’re godlike beings despite the only thing we have to go on is “Celestia and Luna can move the sun and moon (despite we learned that normal unicorns can do the same)”. Celestia got her ass kicked by Chyrsalis in the Season 2 finale (but, you could argue, she was supercharged with Shining Armor’s love for Cadence while she was in disguise—fair enough, you’d just think a supposed godlike being would be tougher than that—but doesn’t explain how she and Luna were taken down in one shot by Tempest), and people just seem to gloss over that. We also know that Flurry is the first Alicorn BORN in Equestria (which I know people started theorizing that even the Princesses were BORN alicorns, but I’d argue that it just means, if they were, it wasn’t in Equestria because—using HWE again—Equestria itself formed independently before the Princesses), meaning Flurry is the first Alicorn born in EQUESTRIA so Celestia & Luna might’ve come from somewhere else. Plus, as far as we know, Celestia & Luna don’t have their own children so maybe having a child with an Alicorn would automatically mean the baby is an Alicorn (again, nothing to DISPROVE said theory). Also, consider this: we know FAR LESS about Zebras than Alicorns.

I do agree with your reasoning that alicorns are often presented as overpowered and godlike, so people generally frown upon people making Alicorn ponysonas (especially if it’s some black & red edgelord; honestly, though we’ve never seen a straight BLACK pony). Still, this just shows STARLIGHT is more of a Mary Sue. I’m sorry, I don’t care HOW GOOD she’s supposed to be at magic but a normal unicorn is NOT going to go toe to toe with an ALICORN without some serious firepower in their corner (like, say, the Alicorn Amulet)—especially the personal student of CELESTIA HERSELF!!! I know I’m bitching but I’ve NEVER gotten over that. I did enjoy your theory about alicorns’ origins, though. It’s possible that alicorns are something that either: a) can only be bestowed/created like Twilight and aren’t a natural species, b) if they are a natural species, they either don’t exist in Equestria or did exist but now border on extinction, or c) live on their own land completely separated from Equestria (but does raise the question of, if the Royal Sisters did live somewhere far from Equestria, why did they leave/could they return?). Brief sidebar: if Celestia & Luna WEREN’T native to Equestria were they made Princesses or were they royalty originally?

Why do you like my origin story of the alicorn species, that it started out as a unicorn/pegasus hybrid but became its own species over time?
In my fic's canon, there is an alicorn tribe, but they kept their distance from the other 3 tribes for many centuries. If one of the alicorns have to go outside, the have a spell that changes their species appearance cast on them that cannot be undone until they return to the Alicorn Tribe's hiding spot. So, an alicorn could be hiding among us. :3
And the Alicorn Amulet has adifferent origin story in my fic. ^^
