Loads of custom brushes I've managed to cook up over the time. It's all about coming up with a clever shape and combine it well with scatter and/or spacing and maybe a dual brush (or really whatever else) and essentially have the brush do the work for you.

And thanks! Work on NOiSE is going full steam ahead, maybe I'll post some screenshots or concept art soon.

Hey thanks for the reply! I guess trial and error is what works best sometimes eh? I fool with brush textures a lot, but sometimes it seems like getting one that makes a certain continuous shape can be so tricky. I tried to do a chainlink brush once, but the links weren't linking right, and it sucked up so much time to fix it I just went on and drew the darn thing myself. I'm glad you're figuring out the process though, your stuff looks great. Maybe I'll just give it another shot sometime.

Yeah, I'll definitely keep my eye on NOiSE. I really like the way you got the environments looking for that, and those are good animations too. Kinda be neat if there actually was something dating related in it though, maybe a heart marker over the troops to show much they do or don't want to kill you? Ha!
