Wow, I your style. How much heart without snowing too much and overdoing anything!
Those traditional-like textures remind me of old sci-fi illustrations, like the cover of a Dune book or so.

How did you achieve those textures? I'm pretty miserable when it comes to texture in Painter.

I can imagine this guy in a little shack in the middle of a desert wasteland or something, and he scavenges wreckage and creates robots and stuff, maybe to help him, maybe to be company because hes alone, or maybe to help him get out of the desert.
Could be anything, i really like the warmth of the sky that comes through the window, really good picture.
Maybe the robot is what hes found in the wreckage, half working, so hes fixing it?

Oh wow, I really like that handle, I might actually turn it into a series like this, the old guy outside his desert shack with robots? Something like that.

He rides around on a vehicle he has built himself, collecting parts for making things. The vehicle looks like one of those airport luggage carriers, with maybe just one carriage for objects on the back, more than that wouldnt be real lol, it would be like the desert is over the top big with loads of wreckage, maybe 2 at most.

I adore how you use color and lighting. Everything just looks so gorgeous and perfect. The solid colors make everything so interesting! And the character it portrayed so well! He looks very much alive and real. I love it!

You have a fantastic ability of making things textured/rough/sketchy and yet complete at the same time.

I really love the visible strokes and the use of color here. It is firmly structured but so elegantly done!
