Description
Just a quick comic because i haven't posted anything for a while... an idea I had couldn't quite get the joke to come out like i wanted, but I hope it makes sense...Oh STC Sonic your cruel sarcastic torture of friends.
The design of amy in pannel 2 and 3 is an old stc amy design from some old lew stringer strips in the early issues before her redesign by Richard Elson
drawn by myself, based on stc by egmont fleetway, written by people like nigel kitching and Lew stringer, based on sega's Sonic series.

And this lady's and gentleman's is one of the biggest reasons as to why I don't like sonic the comic.Β

personally I don't have anything against STC's sonic though I do understand why many fans don't like him- i was a little put off by his personality at first myself.
But I think in a way its kind of acknowledging the fact that he is a TEENAGER with some pretty awesome abilities and KNOWS IT andΒ also seems to put special emphasis on his aparant stubborness more so than any other continuity, comic or otherwise

Another reason many fans might not like his personality is because it takes away the ability to easily make his character almost like the most perfect person in the world and is kinda a slap to the face that even sonic has his flaws- if you look carefully this is put in to many continuities but not as much so as STC and I believe this is done with how his personality is written- granted in the fan run continuation of the comic sonic seems to be growing up a bit- something I've come to appreciate of the original personality of STC sonic, it left plenty of room for that kind of character development

Yeah Sonic in the fleetway waw and by the looks of things still is a complete and utter t**t. Β I honestly prefared Amy, Knuckles and Cybernik, but it did seperate him from the do gooder saint like american version. Β

I never knew much about this series. I always read the Archie series. Maybe the creators should do a crossover.

They kind of have...ish
The uk chrcaters appear in the background of issue 134 of the US comic
and Tracy Yardley of the US Comic and Nigel Dobbyn of the UK Comic drew this [link]
which is probably the closest we'll get to a proper cross over.

To be fair, this is part of what made him so believable to me. Sonic is justly smug about his powers, and when he really tried he was more or less invincible. It's understandable that he was kind of a prick.

of definitely I agree 100%, STC Sonic is my favourite, but it's easy to see why people in the fanbase and even the other characters in his fictional universe can find him a smug arrogant, egotist.

His humor can be pretty twisted in the comics..
