Before I go into anything else, I will first say: THIS IS NOT "FIRST POST, FIRST SERVE!" READ THE RULES BELOW!!!

Now that I have that out of the way, on to the real artist's comments.

NOTE 1: Those names up there are just placeholders, NOT the actual names of the dragons. I simply can't tell apart #1 from #3 in a comment, so having a name that reminds me of the dragon makes it easier on all of us.

NOTE 2: The dragons are all supposed to be symmetrical, from the horns to the markings. Also, "Lake's" wings are green on the backside. And the little horns on the jaws are not markings, although they may look like it.

NOTE 3: The checkboxes are for telling apart which ones are open or adopted. Whenever a dragon gets adopted, I will update the image with a red X next to them so people don't have to keep asking if they're taken. Scroll all the way to the bottom to see the status of the dragons: Open, Reserved, or Adopted.

NOTE 4: I designed the dragons to have fairly easily re-drawable markings, because it really annoys me to have to go and look at a ref sheet to see exactly how to draw the markings. So I tried to make them simpler for you.

NOTE 5: You'll have to Download for the full-sized image. Otherwise it will look ugly and small.

If you would like to own one of these dragon designs, just read the rules below. DO NOT SKIM THEM IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ADOPTING. There is important info in every sentence.

RULES:

1. If you don't read and follow all of these rules, you will not be allowed to adopt any dragon! It's as simple as that. I will be able to tell if you read them.

2. You may only adopt one (1) dragon. Give other people a chance to adopt! After you adopt one, I will simply reject any other entries you make, even if you spent a lot of time on them. Decide which one you REALLY want and stick with it, unless someone else claims it before you.

3. You can reserve a dragon for up to three (3) days while you get your stuff ready. You may only reserve one (1) dragon at a time. If you're worried that someone else may claim the dragon you really want, just ask me to reserve it for you. Be sure you wait until I give you a confirmation! The countdown starts after I confirm the reservation, and then you can work on your picture/story/poem/whatever. If you use up all your reservation time before you get it done, then that's just too bad. There will be one (1) day (24 hours) after your time is up for someone else to reserve the dragon. If they don't, then after that alotted time you can reserve it again for three (3) more days.

4. I will NOT accept points for these. In order to get a dragon, you MUST fill out the form below AND make a picture/story/poem/whatever about the specific dragon you want. No exceptions! (I won't return any points you do give me, either. Thanks for the donation!)

5. You must fill out the form and post it along with your picture/story/poem/whatever. The form is located below.

Name: (Please, nothing generic like "Shadow" or "Cloud," and you can't use the placeholder names, either. I want you to be creative and think of a good name for these guys! Stumped for names? You can use a dragon name generator or two to help... Or three .)
Gender: (Is it male or female? It must be one or the other.)
Age: (No numbers, just general ages, like "young," "ancient," "adolescent," "adult," etc., since dragons age differently than humans and we want to keep it simple.)
Brief Personality: (NOTE: "Nice" is not a personality trait. "Kind-hearted" is.)
Short History: (Where did they come from, where are they going, who are they with, etc. Any other details you'd like to add, really. Just keep in mind the dragon's age when you do this. You can always flesh it out more when you're not on a time limit! )
How Often I Plan to Use This Character: At Least (Once every Two (2) Weeks, Once a Month, or Once every Two (2) Months. Those are your only choices. This is a binding agreement; if you don't use the character as often as you say you will, this gives me permission to take the design back after a warning note. More info on this in Rule #7.)

6. Once you've submitted all your stuff and notified me, I'll look over it to make sure you followed the rules. If it's satisfactory, then I'll give you a positive answer. That means you have successfully adopted the dragon! I'll update the info here, and you can start showing off your new character! You can use the character for anything; fan-character, original character, RPG character, etc.

7. You must keep using this character in some way. I don't care if it's in the form a picture, painting, pixel art, sculpture, kitbash, song, poem, story, collage, or RPG; you must use this character. I don't make these things up and let you adopt them so that they sit around and rot in the forgotten corners of your mind!

I will also Watch you if you adopt a dragon in order to make sure you're using the character when you said you would in the form. (If you're confused, that means that you need to draw them or write about them or SOMETHING at least as often as you stated in the form.) If you're not, then I will send you a warning note. If another 30 days passes by that you still don't use the character, then I have full permission to take the character back and put them up for adoption again. After all, you filled out the form and agreed to my terms, which is legally binding!

If your scanner is broken, then take a picture of your masterpiece; if you don't have a camera, then write a short story or poem about the character; if your hands got chopped off in a freak accident, then get a friend or family member to write it for you as you dictate! If you also suddenly went mute, then get a paintbrush in your mouth or toes and make an abstract painting! If your internet is out, go to a friend's house or an internet cafe. There are solutions to every problem, and I won't take excuses like this.

8. You may NOT COPY OR TRACE any of these pictures, or claim the design as your own, even if you adopted it. Give me some credit! I spent a lot of time coming up with these, and I even made my own lineart, so show some respect and originality and make up your own dragon instead of stealing mine. >:I If I catch you posting one of these dragons and claiming it as your own design, I will report you for art theft. I will also reject any of your attempts to adopt another dragon from me. (That's right, I was thinking of making more of these guys in the future!)

9. You can draw this dragon in any style you like as long as you don't change the design! Don't change the markings, horn design, ear design, or colors. You can change proportions; make it fatter, thinner, more muscular, older, younger, or add and remove accessories. Earrings, bracelets, horn rings, socks, scarves, bandanas, etc. are all fine. The design should still be easily recognizable. Also, don't change the species. It has to stay a dragon.

10. You may NOT sell, trade, or give away this character! Not for money, not for points, not for anything, even if your BFF begs relentlessly and says they will love you forever if you give it to them.

If you truly don't want the character anymore, or feel that you can no longer give it the "attention" it deserves, then you can note me and I will put it up for adoption again. You may not re-adopt the character, so be very sure of your decision! Also, if you give up the character, you must move all existing works featuring the character to your Scrapbook, or delete them from DeviantART altogether.

11. No whining or complaining if you don't get the dragon you wanted! I'll appreciate your effort if you take the time to make a submission, but if you don't follow the rules exactly or if someone else gets it before you (which shouldn't happen if you reserve it), then you'll just have to live with it. So no begging me for the dragon, and no flaming the person who gets it! Rude behavior will not be tolerated.

12. If you read all these rules, and would still like to reserve/adopt a dragon, then put "I hope you feel better soon!" at the VERY BEGINNING of your post. If you do not do this in the EXACT way I just told you to, I will know that you did not read all the rules, or at least you would not follow them even if you did, and I will not allow you to reserve or adopt any dragon. I will then remind you to read the rules all the way through, and after that, you can have a second chance at adopting. I am merciful to those willing to correct their mistakes.

Those are the rules to follow in order to adopt one of my dragons. If they seem too hard or not fair enough, then I'm sure you can find another dragon adoptable somewhere else. I'm not changing the rules, even if you whine and complain about them.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, although I can get annoyed and/or sarcastic if people start asking things that I already explained in the rules section. Here are some questions that I have already anticipated and answered for your benefit:

A. "None. These are free, as stated in the title. Please refer to rule #4."

A. "If you really want him, please read the rules all the way through before asking again. (I can tell that you didn't read them. )"

A. "For people with your IQ level/attention span, I suggest searching for a "dragon maker." There are some great ones here on DeviantART and also on DollDivine.com. Have a nice life."

I don't want to sound mean (because I'm not), but there are only so many places you can get with stupidity and general n00bishness. My good side is not one of them. Here is an example of what will get you on my good side:
