I've actually done this as well. The "right click" on the pen is the short cut for the eye dropper. So if you're like me, you are accidentally clicking that, it's selecting white, so just as the others suggested, just select black again. Hope that works for you.

When using your pen, there's probably a button on there you accidentally pressed that takes you all the way back to white. You have to watch out for that one.

That's because the colour changed to white, u just need to pick up the black colour again

How do you get rid of the sketch once you've drawn it and put the ink on it?

They are suppose to be different layers each. Therefore you can just delete the sketch layer and have the inked one.

yeah select the area with the lasso tool and then Transform by either selecting 'Transform' in the Layer menu or by pressing ctrl T

you don't need a tablet to do lines, on sai, if you look at the two rows above the layers, on the top row, there's 3 icons, one looks like a blank page and the one next to it is a blank page with a pen on, click on that icon and it brings up a new layer which is a vector layer and you can start drawing (click on a point and drag to another point and click a few times to do a line, and click on the line anywhere to drag it where you want to, you can do as many "points" as you want, hope that made sense! ^_^

my pen tool won't fade at the ends nee.. my friend said it's normal if it's SAI portable...
oh and when you did the outlines.. what did you use?

I believe its because of the density, and min size(?) but my min size is 17, and density is at 100. I think thats why it wont fade for you. Plus it matters about pressure you put on your pen. I hope I helped lol.

But I need help in something not so related.
I got 2 files, a lineart and another image, I want to move that image to the lineart, but how?
On photoshop is pretty simple, just need to drag, but didnt figure out in SAI

there's two rows of icons above the layers, go to the bottom row of the two, to the icon on the far left it looks like a tiny square with a + above a tiny square with a down arrow on it, click on the icon next to that one and it merges your layers ^_^

Like in you sample of the pen, the sample went thinner as it went to the right, how do you do that?
