Description This is a homage to one of my favourite bad ass movies ever made: Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It was a well worthy mind bender to work out - an exercise in complimentary colours, opposed to the general 'stencil tone' range. It's my end of year Magnum Opus, I'll be keeping this bad boy close. Merry Christmas and a big thank you for following.

You did an Exceptional job with this but it doesn't even look like a Stencil, it looks like you painted it with a Brush.

Hey thanks,
It's all aerosol stencil, there's even a bit of over spray in the forehead. The streaks are from the surface primer.

I believe you. Apparently the way you cut the Templates makes it appear that way.

And you're Welcome.

By the way I am curious as to how you create your Templates. I have my own methods but I like your style.

Hey,
I use a range of styles, usually it depends on the type image I using. Basically I go dark to light but in the case of this image the barrier between light and dark are obscured so I just wing and go wit the strongest colour and see what happens. Occasionally I use illustrator and photoshop but I've been doing this for so long that I trace just see the contours to trace. The problem with the computer is that it doesn't always know what you want so free styling a trace is important - cause then the viewer see your hand, your personality.

I use Photoshop and Illustrator as well. First Photoshop to separate the Layers as well as adjust them, then Illustrator for Free Tracing, then back to Photoshop for final Editing. My main goal is to create Stencils from my own Artwork but that's still a Work In Progress. I'm still working on perfecting Stencils based on the Photos I use, sometimes I use the SHITTIEST Photos around (and by shitty I mean poor lighting or resolution) and I'm starting to think these are the ones that I need to make a Portrait out of and then create Templates for them.
