Personality:

Roux doesn't care what others think. She's outgoing, boisterous, and nosy. Her actions might seem a bit selfish, but if a 'mon is really in need, she'll do anything to help...Though she'll always hide it with her own self-centered motive. She's quick-witted and sharp but lacks the foresight to plan ahead, making almost all of her actions impulsive.

She gets her nose into everything without a care for the consequences.

Roux fires off a bolt of electricity at her targets. She can change the color of the electricity, though it doesn't help much in combat.

Double Kick
Roux slams into her opponent with her knees. It hits surprisingly hard despite her small size.
She learned this move from her father.

Rest
Roux falls asleep to restore health.
This move sometimes activates by itself.

Boom Burst
Roux uses her flute to create a sound so fierce, it damages all Pokemon nearby.
This move takes a lot out of her, so she prefers not to use it.

Bio:

Roux was born in a lab. The researchers were trying to figure out how Pokemon types came to be. They used the genes of a famous performer- a Raichu well-known for somehow manipulating the wavelength of their electric-type attacks to create dazzling color displays- for their base. They played around with the genes a bit, went through several failed attempts, and eventually ended up with Roux.

Roux seemed to be the subject they had been waiting for. Even as a Pichu, she was able to change the color of her Thundershock from bright white to a soft blue, and when she was given a toy recorder, she surprised everyone by somehow playing a song she had heard earlier that day. It was later discovered that she didn't know how to play at all and that she was just shifting the tone of a single note to match what she heard. The researchers were excited. They thought that they had stumbled upon the mutation that would allow them to categorize a new type- The 'Wave' Type. Unfortunately, Roux wasn't the breakthrough that they needed. Her abilities stopped at basic wave manipulation. Still, the researchers thought that she had some potential. They focused on her sound-based abilities.

The research didn't come without its faults, though. Roux grew more and more lethargic as time went on, and several researchers had begun training her for more...Nefarious purposes. They taught her to use her abilities in more destructive ways- culminating in her learning Boom Burst. The Guild eventually caught wind and sent somebody to shut the operation down. It took a long time for them to explain everything to Roux. She picked things up quickly, but there were a few topics that the Guild members thought would be too dark for a kid. Roux was adopted out to a retired member- a Jolteon who owned a pub in Nimbasa Town. She spent the rest of her childhood there, living each day with excitement.

Leon, her adoptive father, wasn't one to beat around the bush. He told her everything he knew. She didn't have long to live, but he was going to do his best to make sure that she was happy. Roux wasn't surprised. She just accepted what he said as fact. When Leon eventually asked her what she wanted to do, Roux grinned. She said that she was stuck between two ideas. She wanted to perform using her abilities, but she also wanted to see the world. After all, why would she be afraid of death if she was already at its door? Leon suggested she try performing, and that if she still had an explorative itch, she could join the Guild once she was old enough.

Well, fast forward a few years, and Roux's decided to do just that. Many 'mons see her reckless behavior as a form of denial. Whether that's true or not, Roux has decided to devote whatever time she has left to having as much fun as possible!
