-THE ORIGINAL-
Hyprelynx and Elescope (originally known as Hamstar and Thunder256) didn't change exceptionally much compared to their TvTome Adventures equivalents. Hamstar showed up as a new user seeking out her real life friend, who turns out to be Thunder. Nylocke shows up to help her and they become fast friends. Hamstar was still the chipper young bundle of energy and Thunder256 was the straight man by comparison.

-THE NEW-
When writing Episode 06, I knew I wanted the primary focus to be on Nylocke and Gamecrazed's bonds strengthening, ultimately leading up to their partnership for the Gemini Tournament. Although the story of that episode had no direct equivalent inspired by TTA, I thought the task of helping Hyprelynx find her missing friend Elescope would be a fun little side-story to help Nye and GC's bond. Hyprelynx and Elescope were easy to adapt and fun to write for; it was as simple as just building upon their previously-existing personalities to fit my updated writing style. Hyprelynx I wanted to be a bit less "cutesy", but still keep her young (she's the youngest of show's cast of characters) and upbeat. Her adoration of Nylocke worked pretty naturally. Elescope I still kept very "normal" but went with a little bit of paranoia, like one of the types of folks who doesn't want their real-life identities to spread around the internet. Jessi Nowack and Mike Hecht did a solid job for these characters' performances. I had previously planned another pair of actors, who both ended up being unavailable during the time of recording, so Jessi and Mike did me a big favor and filled in. They captured the personalities just right and their dynamic was very memorable, to me anyway. Here's hoping the fans liked their characters as much as the episode!
