Description
This was something I felt like doing on a whim yesterday when I came across one of my bigger sketchbooks and felt like sketching out some of these characters. The concept is based on something I thought of as a kid, after the first Smash Bros on Nintendo 64 had come out: what if they had a multi-platform fighting game with characters represented by Nintendo, SeGa and Sony games? At the time, it was a struggle for me to find characters from SeGa and Sony other than their mascots, since I was primarily a Nintendo kid. Now, it's MUCH easier to pick 'em out, so I went with five for each. We have:

Kirby (Kirby's Dream Land)
Link (Legend of Zelda)
Pikachu (Pokemon)

Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog)
NiGHTs (NiGHTs into Dreams)
AiAi (Super Monkey Ball)
Ulala (Space Channel 5)
Billy Hatcher (Billy Hatcher)

Crash (Crash Bandicoot)
Sly (Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus)
Spyro (Spyro the Dragon)
Ratchet (Ratchet & Clank)
Jak (Jak & Daxter)

I made the stupid mistake of not rounding-out the bottoms of the character line-ups so I could make the final art piece into a giant circle, but I think what I came out with in the end turned out alright. I knew that stock photograph of the sky I took a while back would come in handy someday.
