This took a few hours and about 74 layers (that's how many I counted, but I might've messed up somewhere). I'm very proud of it."What, no 4th of July picture?"
Nope. c: That's right, I draw pictures for Japanese holidays but not American ones!
I wanted to give this drawing a sort of surreal and abstract look while still making it obvious what's happening. I love this shading style. I ought to use it more than I do - maybe I don't do it often because it's freaking tedious! It's not hard, it just takes forever.

Really sucks if you ask me, but hey, it's kinda worth it. xDHappy Fourth of July (also known as the anniversary of my 100th deviation)!
This is going to be my last submission for three weeks. I hope it's worth three weeks of work! No, it definitely isn't. I still like it though.

Well, this is awesome, love how Marx looks, especially. Definitely a great mix of colors. I think "fabric" texture adds to the depth, and I particularly like the sense of motion in the image. I see that Marx is sort of "coming out of the fabric" which is pretty awesome. Fantastic work, and I think it's been about three weeks, so hey, my remix should be done quite soon! Been working on it quite a bit today!

Thank you! Marx and his colors, they're wonderful~ xD I wanted a sort of embroidered look, while not actually drawing the stitches except for the details. And yeah, he is coming out of the fabric, I'm glad you could see what I was going for!
Awesome! I'm actually going to be leaving early tomorrow morning, so I won't get to work on it for another three weeks, but I can improve my singing at camp! XD

You've got quite a number of little touches and details in your work that I don't quite pick up on when I first glance at them, which makes it very enjoyable to come back to them!
Well, that will be great to give me even more time to work on the song, and any input you have will be taken into account while I'm putting it together. Have a good time at camp!
