I painted it as I was listening to Aurora's new album Infections of a different kind, the painting is about those sweet dream we go after, when we no longer desire to be in reality, but as you pursue it the colors blend and it starts to become dark, revealing the poison hidden on sweet promises we chose to believeRelated content

I am very drawn to this piece. Maybe because in a way it feels somewhat similar to how I try to paint my feelings better. The more I look at the image the more I start to see and the more I start to see the feelings it represents, at least to myself. This is one of the great beauties that I love about abstract art, is it's ability to force your mind to look at things in a different way. I like how you have incorporated this sense of unsafe realism, where the figure looks so peaceful and relaxed while the world behind her is chaotic. You could almost picture her laying on a couch with a nice window in the background, resting and taking a nap, and if you peel that charade off, you see this world of chaos and vapidness underneath. I really love your color choice, but I would have loved to see something a bit more brighter throughout to make certain things stand out. The blue orb for instance, looks like an eye to me, seems too dull, but seems to be a focal point of the piece, I would have loved to see something to draw my eye to it. The dark purple in the top looks great and I am drawn over and over to it. Overall, I think this is incredibly beautiful and a great representation of human emotion.

the only concepts I'm playing on it is a dreamlike atmosphere, with the sweetness from dreams alongside with the nightmares

Hello!
Hi, I’m a random person, and I’d like to say I love your art! It’s really expressive, and it’s color palette is on point. But personally, I think that some colors overpower others. Like the purple at te back of the painting draws my attention before the main image. There’s nothing wrong with that; just something I noticed. Anyway, I think you convey your message very well and I look forward to see more of your art!

thank you very much, I was trying to make the whole composition point towards the right corner, where the strong purple is, everything is tilted this way, I wanted the darkness and poison to overcome, maybe I made it way too heavy, but part of it was intentional, really, thnks for your comment <3 a lot, btw I just checked your gallery and you're doing a great inktober challenge
