ummm Neon Dragon Jessica Peffer, is this from her art book that teaches you to draw dragons and other creature? it just REALLY digs in my brain and brings back ancient memories *shows memories* see, see how much dust there is??
XD
But on a more serious note, this is really good. I love it ^^

oh well, I dug in some texts on wikipedia, but I am sure, interpretation of these creatures is different by each location. It might be helpful to read some books. But I prefer bestiary instead of fantasy artists of modern time.
thanks for the comment I am glad you like

Reminded me of this: [link]
Haha, but as you can see it isn't that much like yours in the end. Yours is pretty different. but it's been nearly two years or so since I have since Jessicas work XD So you can see why I got confused. :3
But yes I do like it.

yay ! its looks so similar well we have same taste for colors XD exactly i wanted to do my one gold at first but i was sure it wont look so good like white one (in real the frame i put the picture into it is in same color as kirin itself)
I am really new in kirins and discovered them recently so anything is so wonderfully looking I was fan of neon dragon in very distant past might i will return back to her artwork again ! I used this [link] as reference it it was.. so odd.. looks like an iron ! XD

Same I used to be a fan, back when my friend and I used to always draw dragons together,
I only ever found them in the book she published really. Yes it is an odd referance. but your work came out really well regardless!

Another painting that shows off your style very well You manage to create a lot of depth in the environment with contrasting lights and darks. On the Kirin itself, you chose very appropriate colors to depict the "fish scales" and the method you painted them in gives it a good texture without being overly complicated by detail. I'm only a little concerned that it seems its left whisker is on the right side of the horn.

I reserve the right to comment on whatever picture I choose All in all, it looks great, and if your really wanted to change the whisker it might be possible with a little more paint.
