Demon horns!
Okay, so.

Not all demons have horns, even within species that commonly do. The presence of horns does not have anything in particular to do with gender or power level. It's all in the genes.

Horns on human-sized demons will rarely get any bigger than your forearm at the largest.

They most commonly show up on those three darker blue areas on the diagram. If not that, the triangular region between the points. If not that, it WILL be on the bluegreen colored region of the diagram if at all!
The ONLY exception is if there is a mutation! This is very, very rare.

Horn size will also partially relate to location! The 'strongest' horns which are the best connected (and therefore the best supported) are in the common areas. The 'weakest' horns show on the jaw or neck, where there is less bone to connect to strongly.

In most demons, horns are growths of bone or hair (think rhino horns! Those are actually hair!). However, in the case of Kaodegans, they can have what look to be polished horns - this is often a result of biometals affecting the horns. This can also make their horns stronger and sharper than many other demon types.

Horns can be very simple or very intricate, twisting or spiraling or curving any which way. There can be many horns, or even many sets of horns on some demons - secondary or tertiary sets of horns are not often large! They tend to keep 'decorative'. Different sets can also potentially differ in style and material (example: in Yru's feral form he has a single metal horn and two smooth bone ones).
