First - OMG! This is amazing. The detail is wonderful, I could honestly watch this for hours and not get bored. The shading is great and animation is smooth, so well done there.
The thin black lines which divide the boxes don't line up in the middle. This is really the only thing that isn't great with this. But, that is mostly my OCD playing up as it doesn't particularly matter.
This really does represent the art community in general rather well. We are all a bunch of individuals going about our business separately but all communicating and sharing - forming a large community all working together to make something pretty awesome.
Congrats on the DD. Keep up the awesome work.

I first saw this lovely piece of work in the DD section at the bottom of my screen, and when I clicked on it to get a better view, I instantly fell in love. I am a big fan of using emoticons and animations to illustrate important messages, as they are always unique and interesting. I adore the way you used this art style to show that all artists, whether they be writers, painters, photographers, or artisans, can connect with and inspire each other. Your work really shows that every artist and art style is part of a community, not just limited to their own exclusive group. I think that the deviantART community really fits this drawing, as we are really all a part of a circle of art: the creators of art, the reviewers of art, the learners of art, and the lovers of art.
The actual work looks very polished, without a doubt you spent many long hours perfecting it. The light and shadows are very nicely balanced, and the little details you took care to add really help add to the meaning of the piece. My only real complaint would be that, at times, the animation looks slightly choppy (like with the box/pulley/elevator thing and the purple guy going up and down the ladder). Making the animation run a little bit smoother could have given the work some more shine. Nevertheless, the animation was incredibly well done overall, especially considering the complexity of this piece. Congrats on the DD, you did an amazing job! I really hope to see more things like this from you in the future e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

All I could think when I saw this was "Wow!" I sat mesmerized by this piece for a full five minutes.
I love the view this has has an of our community, or, like you said, any other community of artists. This is a original way of seeing our community, and it fits it to a T.
If I had to find one negative thing about this piece, (and trust me, it was difficult), it would have to be that the photographer should be actually taking a picture of something, rather than the ceiling. This however is a minor flaw lost in the quality of this artwork. In the end, it is (in my opinion) omgamazing.

I featured this artwork in my newsletter "How to get information on deviantART" here: [link] I hope you'll consider faving the news letter not only to bring yourself more viewers but to bring more people to the topic of interest. Thanks!

Very nice. I love the concept in this, and it's very nice.
However, there are a few things that you need to work on.
1. I understand that this is a very long animation, but the animation is still choppy. I would recommend that you put another frame inbetween all the ones you've already done. I know that's a lot, but it will help get rid of the choppiness and give you the oppertunity to make this emote even more impressive and with more detail.
2. The emotes themselves. They have very blank expressions and seem rather... bored. Add a smile. Some bounciness always helps too. I personally think that you should brighten up the shading a little bit, maybe add like a small shine in the corner and something, but that's a personal opinion, and the shading isn't what makes the emote (but it certainly helps.)
Good job, and congrats on the dd
