Arrghhhh! Im finally done with this. *pulls out hair in clumps* I have been working on this off and on for about 3 months now if you can believe it, and I just give up.

Here are my promised 3 character sketches, which include their animal forms, full body shots, and some facial expressions. (I also included how I want their names to be pronounced to the best of my ability, and really, more people should since everyone mispronounces everyone else’s character names.) Unfortunately when I originally started doing the linearts a few months ago, I was not very good at freehand lines with the tablet so you may see some variation in there. Also my style has changed slightly since I did it but I wanted to keep them uniform as much as possible, so I didn’t change it.

This is the first that Ive given much of any background for my newest character Mizatteo (who shall for the most part be known as Miza). I still wont draw either Kyoi or Miza nearly as much as I do Sokan though… because Sokan is my first creation…. and my “baby.”

I would like to think that my three characters together represent a wide range of personalities and psyches. First of all, as far as sexuallity goes, there is the straight one (Kyoi), the gay one (Miza), and the one who could care less if you are a guy or girl (Sokan). And when looking at their individual personalities—and this is important—in general, Kyoi cares about how others see him and shys away from what he believes is only negative attention, Miza cares about what others think and loves attention, and Sokan just doesn’t care about what anyone thinks and does whatever he wants.

Okay this is going to be a really long (like most of mine are) “artist comment” because I decided that it would be best to submit them all in one deviation than separately.

Sokan: Okay I don’t know if anyone remembers that old journal I did forever ago that had a description of both Kyoi and Sokan’s background and relationship, but it also explained another interesting, but less known, aspect of his character. Although he is hyper and generally happy with the world around him, sometimes, it is only an act. When people occasionally tease him or he gets upset or something goes wrong, instead of letting those emotions out he puts on a smiling face and suppresses them so as not to worry those around him who care about him, and to try and be strong for his younger brother.

Also, about his outfit, I just through something together awhile back but I think it sort of represents his eclectic personality and style too. The expression I colored is my favorite and probably the one most commonly on his face anyway. When you see that look, you better run.

Kyoi: Well I also realized recently that I never really gave a full description of Kyoi either or showed what he looked like in animal form. I actually think hes the cutest animal out of my three characters and love how the white and blue tipped design worked out. And just like all of my other characters, he wears a collar that is unique to him in design and color which I decided would be a bell since you cant get any cuter than that. *huggles* He wears light colors mainly because they go best with his coloring (hair and fur)… and also because Sokan likes to dress him up in pink. The one that is colored right now is his pajamas.

Miza: Alrighty so here we have the obligatory “bitchy one” if you will. He is usually pretty smug looking most of the time and it is very easy for him to loose his cool. His relationship with Sokan is sort of complicated but to put it generally I would describe it as “friends with benefits” if you catch my drift. Even though they don’t really have a relationship, he would be seme to Sokans uke personality, and Sokan willingly plays along.

Ive had the character idea around for a long time but unfortunately it has taken awhile to finally plan it out and get on paper with the right look. He is not gay in the flamboyantly obvious way either, it's a little more subtle than Sokan. And his character design still may be tweaked a little bit too until I work out the kinks.
