After you get a feel for how the hand works you will be able to skip the first two steps and draw straight onto the paper with out the stick figure lines.

Like I said above the best tool for drawin the hand is your own. Study it and then draw it down, it may not look right at first, but with practice comes the victory.

Lol, I know hands can give people a tone of problems.
It's all in building up the hands. If you have a good skeleton/base then adding the fine lines comes easier.

Even in 3D hands and feet are a task I got 2 models that are human well one is a fursone but still simillar to the human figure lol

Oh you do 3d art as well? What program are you modeling them in??

When I do 3d characters I use 3dsmax, and have a skeleton hand as a guide.
