Yusss! I will be doing one on hands next! I'm glad this was able to help ya~ Just keep practicing, everyday just draw loads of them over and over on both sides of the page and before you know it, they'll be like second nature to you!

XDDD And thats why you'd use both sides and overlap them if need be~ You wouldn't be doing too bad at all if you got a page filled on both sides with about 20 feet perside~

Nice. Very realistic, unlike most of the tutorial I see around here. I'm going to show this to my friends, if it's okay with you. I'm trying to teach a friend how to draw, but I just can't grasp the concept of breaking things down into simple objects.

Thats really cool, of course you can show it around, I'll be doing a few more tutorials, is there anything specific you would like me to do, hands are next on my list

Ummm... lately I've been having trouble with dynamic posing myself...
I can do the regular same old cartoon stuff without a problem, but with more realistic characters my work tends to look stiff. I have practised a lot the past few weeks and there's some improvement, but it's far from perfect. Any ideas or suggestions?

Well how bout this....I'll send you a note when i've thrown a bunch of my notebook sketches into scraps and you can have a look at them and ask any questions you like? Sound good?

But as for a quick help, i always use a line of action that goes right thru the body and that detemines the pose. When im drawing i always exaggerate curves aswell, like curve the back a little more backwards and stretch things a bit.

I do the same. The body and the legs look alright, but the hands and the head mess up the entire drawing.

Ahhh i know what you mean, Doing figure studies is always a good way to get used to people in natural poses. Get a small notebook and go to a shoppincentre or anywhere and sit down and draw the popel around you. You'll learn to draw REALLY quick and it helps with posing SOOO much! I'll put some of those up too so you can see how simple(an messy) they can be but they help loads!!
