I was never able to get a grasp of guidelining.
Whenever I tried them, my pictures would come out terrible. So I've stuck with just... NOT using them for my many years of drawing. But I'd love to be able to do them properly because I know how much they'd really help. One of the things I don't understand is how to keep the sizing so consistent. When I see people use guidelines, they just use lines and shapes and such and the finish product comes out like it should, with the limbs and everything being the size they should be and were in the pictures previous to it. The face is in the right position, etc.... Ah, man. I really wish I knew how to explain things better...
Your style is very attractive, by the way.

Hey. I don't really know if you want an answer or anything, but...^^'
I just had the same problem before. When I tried the guidelines, it didn't look weel at the end of the process, so I just stopped trying.
But now that I'm a little better in drawing, I have more knowledge about proportions and stuff, you know. And little by little, I try to use a few of the guidelines, because I suddenly understood something, so now I can use it.
So my advice is : don't force it. Don't try to make it right at the first try. Just try to pick the things that really help you, and sometimes try again to add other things...

I don't know if this can help you, but well, good luck !^^
(and sorry for my horrible english)

Hi I just wanted to comment that you have one the best tutorials out there and I mean it. I've been trying to find an easy guideline tutorial to help me draw and this is by far the best I've seen. It's quick and not complicated at all.
What I love the best is part a to part b. In all the tutorial's I see, part a takes so long to actually build up to get to part b but here it's a lot quicker. And you've even included what the end result is after the clothing is added~

Thank you so much for making this

I know you already gave a tutorial on bodies, but could you perhaps go more in depth about how you go from the stick figure to fleshing out the figure? A lot of tutorials seems to skip over this, and I can't seem to take the next step...

Thank you for all of these. I've been using them for awhile and hadn't realized I hadn't favorited all of them. They're quite helpful.
