Description
So I've not been around much recently. This my apology of sorts.Tho i dunno if there's a lot of typos...i tend to make quite a few X'''DD and I managed to catch my finger in the door the other day (not my drawing hand so no worries) but it doesn't like bending or applying pressure so i mess up with typing haha
Any questions feel free to ask and i'll help how i can <3
There's other tutorials in my gallery...somewhere...I should make a folder for them...

This is really helpful actually.
I've been having issues with hair, this has helped give me some idea of what to do with the hair. xD
It'll take me a while to actually be able to draw hair and have it look the way I want it.

I agree too. Im fine with people making that part of the eye underneath really opaque though, depending on how thick the person's hair is. Some people have really thick hair and some have thin hair so it separates differently too.
Best hair tutorial i've seen!

Yeah, it really bugs me when I look at a certain picture, or watch certain anime (since this kind of thing appears in anime quite often), the near pure black outline of the eye with giant black lines appearing over top of the hair makes it look like the hair's somehow digging into the eye itself.

do you ever block in the hair just using rectangular shapes? also how do you figure out where you want the part/swirl, and can you elaborate on how you draw it? and how did you learn how hair grows/works in the first place? sorry I'm asking a lot of questions, I have to do some character designs for class and I'm failing at doing hair. Also bangs that get pushed to the side, how do you draw those?

Great tutorial - it really explains a lot for me. Having difficulties with hair myself (God, first problems with the figures, then with faces, now hair - I really must be an incurable beginner! ) , I must say that this is definitley a favourite!
