Description
Because favourites are nice, but they don't tell the artist why you like or love their piece of art. A click of a button can't give the personal touch and interaction with the artist that a comment can in my opinion.Dedicated to all those artists that, while they appreciate their favourites, feel like they aren't getting much feedback on their work. I think they deserve it, don't you?

It is true, getting a comment does at times mean more than a fav alone. But I honestly don't mind either or. I understand sometimes someone might just be browsing my page and just wants to quickly fav something. I wouldn't expect someone to comment on EVERY SINGLE thing they liked. I mean that is just too muh to ask. Plus you need to think why they faved it. A lot of the times it's showing they really like it and are willing to keep it somewhere where they can look at it again and again. At least that's why I favourite things.
I do agree with this stamp, it's very nice to get feed back and critiques on your work. It's touching when someone takes time to do that ^^ But I try not to sell them short if they only fav.Β

That's very true -- I tend to comment myself on .. anything I see
But we can't comment to all we fave, sometimes you just grab, fave, and continue
It's often just that notice, but is a comment often really that hard? I often do them in seconds
Sometimes constructed -- quick or warm ( Friendly meant! )
But some comments once a while on, artwork -- fiction, and such -- Is well on place

If an art piece is one that I really like and they have little to no comments on it I happily comment on it because I know some artists really would like that boost and reassurance to keep on going. Even I like that joy I get when a comment is left.
For me I only get a short while on DA with how busy I am in school, so I don't really have time to comment on every single picture I like, but putting in my favourites artists can be assured I love it enough keep with me in my folder. Of course if it's one that no one commented on and it truly deserves a comment I'll make it.
I'm more someone that leaves long encouraging ones rather than the quick "That's cute" or "Wow! You did great"
I'm just trying to assure the OP and people who have this annoyance that sometimes it's just people don't have time to comment on every single thing they fave. If they faved a shit ton from your gallery there's a good chance they really like your art. That fav and runners aren't lazy people who are heartless.Β

Indeed!
If we all agree people should comment and not fave -- Why not begin with each other
If we make a first step, the rest follow -- Kinda?
Besides: With the right attitude, some confidence .. and teamwork -- WE CAN DO ANYTHING!

I love this stamp! People don't realize how comments are important to us artist. We want feedback to know whether we're improving or not because it's our passion!^^ And hearing those people who say "I have nothing meaningful to say or don't know what to say" it's just an excuse to me. Because think about it, there was something that made you want to fav it. Something that caught your eye about the drawing. Something always stands out to you that draws you to that artwork. You can always comment on that. If the color of the hair attracted you, a simple "The color of the hair looks really nice, it really caught my attention." That let's the artist know, "oh, i did right by choosing that color". That's how i usually comment
It's not that hard.~

I totally agree!! I wish people just wrote at least one simple comment whenever they fave something, I know I should do that more too, but you know how it is :/

i agree completely!! i hate to see such amazing artwork/literature etc. get faved so many times, but barely getsΒ comments from those 10 or 100 people that like it. it annoys me greatly when it happens. faves could mean anything. that person could fave your work to do nasty things to it!
it also annoys me that when people do comment, it's usually just a "Cool!" "Cute!". cool what? cool hair? cool background? cute eyes? cute bunny? be more specific! ;~; great stamp! glad it was made uvu

Exactly! :3 And even if you just say "That's awesome!", and don't give any specifics, I'm cool with dat! Granted, I'd prefer knowing why so I can learn, but just hearing you say you like it, instead of just outright faving...smeh...
