Adrenaline surged through your veins, keeping your body steady as you flew through the dense forest. The growls of inhuman creatures carried over the trees, startling the few birds that flapped hastily out of sight. Thundering reverberated through the ground and trees. The sun had started to sink towards the blood-red horizon. A flash of lightning struck the ground nearby, sending a flash of light and smoke across your vision. Landing on a nearby branch, you rubbed at your eyes as spots floated in your vision. A roar tore the air in two, leaving you to clutch at your ears tight. Gritting your teeth, you peered through the trees towards the disturbance.

"That brat is so noisy, it's a wonder all the titans don't find him quicker." The close proximity made you jump, spinning around to face grey, unamused eyes. You released a breath you hadn't realized you were holding. He raised an eyebrow, hidden partially by his silky black hair.

"I really thought you'd notice this time," he said, the slightest hints of a smirk reaching his lips. You pout.

"Sh-shut up! He was too close this time, and I got distracted." You huff, turning back to face where Eren had transformed just moments before. The click of boots against wood alerted you that he had stepped closer.

"Tch. If you keep making excuses," something pinched at your neck, freezing your breath in your throat, "One of these days they're going to get you into trouble." Two arms snapped around your waist before you could leap away.

"Did you bite me??" You rubbed at your neck viciously while still scrambling to escape his hold. "You perverted old man!" The blood rushed violently to your face as he buried his nose into your neck.

"Says the one who's the same age as the 'perverted old man' boyfriend," he retorted, biting your neck again. You squeaked, pushing his face away and escaping his arms.

"What the heck, Levi! We're on a mission!" Your heart leapt as the approaching footsteps of a titan shook the tree beneath your feet. He clicked his tongue disapprovingly.

"Whoever thought a titan would be the one to save you from me." You could've sworn you saw him wink an eye at you before he sped away, leaving you in the smoke of his 3DMG. Your neck was left with small bruises across it, which tingled at your touch. Muttering curses, you shot your hooks into a nearby branch and swung into the air. Your face still remained a flattering shade of tomato as you fought off oncoming titans.
