My, it’s been a long time since I’ve done Notre Dame art, hasn’t it? I’ve actually wanted to reunite with poor Quasimodo for a while now. I’ve just had trouble with the composition I wanted for him until now. All I knew was that I wanted to portray his tenderness as well as his loneliness, hence the gargoyle and the dove.Related content

I love all the small details and fine penwork, such as the birds nest and the facial hair. Also a great use of the limited colour palette.

Is this supposed to be based off of the Notre Dame De Paris The Musical song, Les oiseaux qu'on met en cage? Either way I STILL LOVE IT!!!

Kind of. I definitely wanted the look of the musical, but the use of the bird was mostly inspired by the image of Quasi helping the little bird fly in the Disney film because I've always loved that image. Thanks!
