Description Endless Knot Scar and dermal anchors done by Timb Wilton from Third Eye Tattoo
www.thirdeyetattoostudio.com
www.thirdeyepiercing.com

This knot (the red lines on my belly) is not a tattoo, its a cutting. The image is cut into my skin with a scalpel.
I have to keep it very clean so that as it heals it will end up being white lines, scars.
I will post pictures after the healing process so you can see the end result.

New pictures up of this one and my other one all healed. If you have any questions, please ask

'cut into my skin with a scalpel' sounds pretty painful, end result looks great somehow though

this is awesome in so many levels... the technique to make those and the care you must have for them is so high-level... I really want some done too now. Both you and your scarificator are absolutely amazing! love it to bits

This is going to sound like a really stupid question but does the scarification hurt more than the tattoos? And how do you keep it clean?Β

I think tattooing hurts more. But that is just me. I just kept it clean by washing it. It scabbed up pretty quickly. Take a look through my photos and find the healed photo of it. This was taken several years ago.

i can't imagine ever being able to do this, because it looks too painful, but i think scarification is very pretty

Yikes! Deliberately getting scars?! I know some people find scars attractive, but I'm afraid it's not for me. I do however think that damaging your body for such reasons is bold (and maybe masochistic, and if that last bit is correct, it might be sexy...).

I personally think this is stupid, but it's beautiful none the less! You just can't deny that the end result looks great on her.

The reason I think it's stupid is because when you turn 40, you're gonna regret this. Β [ or maybe you'll look fantastic and have amazing skin who knows. ]

kittyelixir In reply to Roxasys [2013-10-28 15:24:45 +0000 UTC]

Hon, I am 34. Yep, and this is what I look like today. Flat stomach, white skin, size 8. I don't regret this that is for sure. Specially since I am with the piercer that did this too me. Even if I make it to 80, I will be covered with tattoos, and have a life time of memories to talk and laugh about. What I have on my body is all the stories of my life. I am extremely happy with my body.Β

I too have scarification on my body, I must say, your artist has a very steady hand.
Was this done by V-incision? or by a single cut?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 3

kittyelixir In reply to SatanLivesEternally [2013-10-28 15:19:48 +0000 UTC]

I respect your opinion. Lucky for you this isn't on your body and you don't have to look at it.

I on the other hand love it.Β
As to what is "wrong with me" I say nothing. I am an average person. I have a full time job as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Yep, that's right, I fix aircraft. I love old cars and do them up in my spare time and I have a lovely house in the country that I own and my partner is covered in tattoos and scars and he is an paramedic, yep he fixes people. So we are normal people that love to express ourselves by adorning our bodies with our life events. It's the stories of our adventures.Β

I have an amazing life for of love and laughter and a wonderful family and we are all happy and healthy. So I think I am pretty lucky and pretty normal. I would say I am not closed minded, open to life, the world and all its beauty.Β

So thanks for your opinion, good luck with your life and happy travels!

I'll ask if you have tattoos?
and regardless of your answer I'll simply say some people, such as myself who enjoy body modification aren't comfortable with the fact of something unnatural like ink being injected into their skin.
A scar on the other hand comes from ones own body and also, like a tattoo is permanent. Yes, I have scarification too, but no tattoos.

the fact that you used a hostile emoticon proved that was a lie.

Some people think it's cool and unique! I personally like this type of bodymodification, even if I don't encourage it. Although not all people like this, it's still a form of art. Not "retarded", even if you may think this because you wouldn't actually go out and try this on yourself.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SatanLivesEternally In reply to Gh0st-ofStarman [2013-10-24 22:53:15 +0000 UTC]

It's pretty much "self harm". LikeΒ

"yeah let's slice our skin open because we want to be "different!""

halfbreedfox In reply to SatanLivesEternally [2013-10-24 23:33:59 +0000 UTC]

Deliberate scarification actually has a long tradition in certain cultures in Africa. It has been done for thousands of years for beauty or as a passage into adulthood, just to name a few purposes.

The way in this scarification has been done is as a sign of beauty and art, mimicking a long tradition. If you can't grasp that, it's your loss.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Gh0st-ofStarman In reply to SatanLivesEternally [2013-10-24 22:58:19 +0000 UTC]

Self harm is basically when you are INTENTIONALLY inflicting pain upon yourself, you WANT the pain. You WANT to bleed.

This is where you're doing it for artistic purposes. You don't want to feel pain (even though you know you will have to), but you want a result.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Maleficus-Animus In reply to Gh0st-ofStarman [2013-10-24 23:11:50 +0000 UTC]

While I firmly support your defense of artistic scarification, I would like to point out that some people do actually enjoy the pain from it, but that isn't WHY they do it.

I do find it a little humorous that a person with the name "SatanLivesEternally" would be brazen enough to compare this type of body modification to self-harm.

Great job standing up to him for it... You deserve a llama!

oh my goodness, its really really pretty, I like the placement. I don't think I could ever do something like that, you have my respect. I have waited a few years. I started getting piercings when I was 18 but didn't get tattooed till I was 26. I just waited 2 years to get my arm tattooed by a particular tattooer and it was worth the wait! Not only did I have time to save by waiting, I also had time to grow and evolve my ideas and they became very me like, if that makes sense. So happy with my body art. Thanks so much for commenting!
