I would say that the expressions are correct, the way that Pinkie and Rainbow Dash come in work because 1. Rainbow is a pegasus, and 2. Pinkie can break physics. I would say, if anything the faces need a little bit of work, RD's face looks a little scrunched up in the center, and Twilight's eye seems a little too big. The eye thing is probably just me. But Pinkie Pie is correct for the most part. It also feels very Calvin and Hobbes, which I love. Overall, very good work, and hope to see more of the same from you.

For Twi's eyes, I have a bad habit of making surprised eyes too big. It's a bit cartoony and not what they do in Ponies. And I can't see it until it's pointed out to me. Ever.
For Dash, I'll see what I can do. Her head is based on a perfect circle, the same exact circle the other three use. Is it her snout? I can fudge it next time if it's "too round". Is it maybe her hair creating an illusion?
I was actually thinking Pinkie Pie would be a little C&H-ish when doing this. I picked the over-stretched arms for her simply because it did remind me a little of that comic.

I usually stick to critiquing writing myself.
I forgot to answer this, but I have every intention to draw more stuff like this. I'm still learning the best ways to do things and I've got a LOT of IRL stuff going on (newborn twins is the big one) but I will try to do more large images. I may go back and vector some of my nicer sketches and then add backgrounds.

It's up. I don't think the railing gets a shadow simply due to the simplicity of the animation style. I took a bit of liberty and did a blended shadow instead of flat, so it "fades" instead of having an edge.
