Lengthy background time! Kate Winslet is my favourite model for a grown Wendy Darling, mostly in her role as Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic (which I haven't seen, btw). Today I thought of Rose rather than Wendy meeting James Hook rather than Jack Dawson ... and that if Jas. Hook had been Captain of the Titanic, it never would have sunk, because, as a friend pointed out, that iceberg would not have dared ram his ship!
All of which is a loooong way of saying I had fun doing this piece. And the Captain is off watch, btw. No Costa Concordia negligence here, either.

This Titanic/Peter pan AU idea is making me so happy btw. Would Hook be a reputable captain, or would he have gutted the actual captain and taken his place? I'm very curious!
I imagine him planning an epic hostage situation of epic proportions, stowing this crew aboard the unsinkable ship with the intention of holding the wealthy and powerful passengers ransom for an immeasurable prize. What he didn't count on was meeting a young, defiant beauty, one Rose DeWitt Bukater. Now instead of stealing the money of the wealthy, she's stealing his heart instead.
lol, anyway. Love this! Great job with the editing, so impressive, and awesome scenario. I love it all. Well done.

You're going to have to creat this story yanno, you're way ahead with it already in invention! I agree the Captain probably had something nefarious in mind, maybe the ultimate piracy, cos I can't quite see him going all respectable on us, can you? Your scenario is perfect.
Nope, never seen the film! Never wanted to - Jack/Leonardo di Caprio really doesn't do anything for me (and besides, looking at him now in those pics, he's so young he makes me think of Pan. 😱 Also too, I just don't like tragedies, I am past crying during films. I'm all about happy endings now ... especially for handsome pirates.

Ha, I can just see Rose being swept away by the blast of really bad news, handsomeness and charm that is Captain Jas. Hook! Cal and Jack wouldn't stand a chance. Also Cal wouldn't dare say or do anything cos he might come to a sudden and sticky end. 😈
I don't write fiction these days! Long since realised I don't have the skills for it - as in, story construction, etc. I'm even too lazy to blog except when I'm posting a pic!

I feel ya, it's also hard to find the time to sit down and write. Writing requires more focus than drawing does for me.

Yeah, it was the same for me when I used to draw. Can't think of what to write? Illustrate it instead!
