Description
This is Coco.Coco likes everything 60's, especially Andy Warhol and The Beatles. Her idol is Brigitte Bardot. She's one groovy cat and she thinks that people should make love, not war.
She doesn't like people who don't get how cool the 60's were.
Coco is made out of lovely soft chocolate brown velvet and she's stuffed with rags and polyfill. She has a button for a belly button and her nose and eyes are embroidered.
Coco's funky A-line dress is made out of black&white hound's tooth wool and it's fully lined with cotton. It has little decorative tabs with button detail and it has a hook & eye closure in the back.
The long sleeve T-shirt and knee socks are made out of stretchy tricot and the T-shirt has snaps on the back.
Coco's mary-janes are made out of felt and they have a little button decoration on them.

I'm currently not doing trades (or selling my work either) due to the bureaucracy involved in starting up my own business and applying for start-up aid. I'll be sure to let everyone know when I'm open for business again though.

Basically it boils down to not being allowed to act as a business before my application has been processed.
...That being said, I have done a few pieces for friends as "gifts", but I'm currently so busy with the rest of my life that I'm not going to take on any new orders/trades since I couldn't get to them in a timely manner.

Once you get past the fiddly bits, it's pretty easy. 
I've been sewing since I was 6 and then I went to school to study costume design for 5 years so it's not really all that amazing.

I love her socks!! Actually, my glasses have that same pattern ion the inside. They are just black plastic on the outside, but black and white on the inside of the frames and the arms.
How do you get their noses so sharp? Do you pencil it in first?

I pencil the shape first and then iron on some iron-on interfacing where the nose/eyes/belly button will go, so any embroidery etc. I'll do will have a little extra support and the fabric underneath doesn't get wrinkled.
