I finally put together Miss Buttons, whom I've had in pieces for quite a while now. I made the patterns for her myself, so she is a bit of an experiment for me.Miss Buttons would like you to know that she's made out of undyed linen and she has had her fill of ordinary wadding, although she insists that she is everything but ordinary despite what's inside her. She would also like to draw attention to her lovely embroidered nose and belly button and of course you shouldn't over look her beautiful glass eyes. Miss Buttons is roughly 30 cm tall, and because she's a lady, she won't reveal her weight.
Even if her ears are a little wonky and her shoulders are a bit odd, Miss Buttons does believe that one doesn't have to be perfect to be pretty.

Miss Buttons is adorable. I love the natural look of the linen and the soft tones of the pinks and green. The blush is fantastic, and really adds to it. The shape of the toy is perfect, and you did a brilliant job on the pattern.

Markers.
Copic markers to be exact. It's a bit hard to do with just the markers & the blender, but it is worth it.
I'm going to get an airbrush when I have the means to do so to make the blushing easier & quicker, though.

It was fun drafting a pattern from scratch and then seeing how it turned out when made into a 3D-shape. There's always an element of surprise there no matter how well and throughly you draft your patterns, as the effect stuffing can have on the shape is hard to anticipate.

I feel like that even when I'm making something from someone else's pattern! But I just started making my own patterns and it's such an exciting experience... I don't think I'll ever use someone else's stuffed animal patterns again! Clothes still boggle me a bit, though. ><
