Description
I had a bit of fun playing with water drops today. Here's a few of my favourite shots. How I did it:
- Plastic bag filled with water hanging from a clothes horse. Tiny pin hole to allow water to drip slowly.
- Shallow glass tray placed on top of an abstract image I found online to provide the colour in the shots.
- Camera (Canon 60D with 100mm f/2.8 macro lens) on tripod, focused on a pen held where the drops would land.
- Off camera flash to the right of the camera to freeze the shot.
Enjoy!

Thank you!
This article here explains a similar set up to mine, though I used a macro lens and a plastic bag instead of the zoom lens and faucet. [link]
