Description
Where Eternity Stands in LineLike waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory....40s era Fords, Oldsmobile's, Pontiac's, Chevy's....awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod.
Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado....and now it is just a memory....it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could...preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this....time stands still......much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron.......
Thoughts welcomed, print to come.

Wonderful processing of the shot John. You have taken what would be a good shot and turned it into a bit of art.

Awesome work.
It's like going back in time to a car lot - but the cars are still in the condition you'd expect for the current age. I love it.

Oh yes, it is always sad to lose such a lovely place.
That's why I started photographing too, ... to keep it in mind forever. I had the same problem 2weeks ago, a favorite place of mine (very interesting abandoned factory) has been torn off !
I was very sad but now I'm glad that I took a lot of pictures of it last summer. I also have some pictures of the demolition.
I will post them soon here on Lil-Teaser .
I just wanted to say, I know how it feels like ...
