ROFL, unfortunately, they do not launch any projectiles, they just have removable magazines, and other parts that can be moved by hand.

You are very talented my friend.

AK, M4, M1 Thompson, M870 (not completely sure) MP5SD, M60.
Uzi, and several handguns that I am not certain of the Designations.

Thank you kindly! the pump shotgun is either an M870 or a Mossberg M500. Its kinda non-specific. XD

The handguns are supposed to be"
Desert Eagle, Beretta M9, Glock (non-specific) Colt .45, PPK(suppressed) and a Colt Python that needs a little bit of work. It was kinda in transition from a Python to a Smith & Wesson revolver of some sort.

Damn, this is awesome!
Must have taken you forever to build all of them

Thanks for the compliments!

Well, the M4 and AK47 both took about 16 hours each (most of that time was fishing through the buckets, and picking out the individuals pieces I needed, actually assembly time was probably just a couple hours), and I'd built and rebuilt the pistols enough times I could put them together in about 20 minutes, give or take, but its been a long time since I've messed with these, that it would probably take me a lot longer to put something together now a days.

Well, the digging through a box usually takes up all of your time. I try to stick to LDD now, but yeah, after a while you have a tendency to lose that lego building ability, ya know?

The only thing that comes to mind when I see all of them is Minecraft o.o

Hmmm...

I haven't played minecraft before (but I keep getting told I should)

Is it all just pickaxes, shovels, and swords, or are there actual guns you can use in the game, too?

but really good how did you make the belts?

Thank you.

Oh the belts of ammo that are shown with the M60 and M249 Light Machine Guns in other images on my gallery?

I made them out of several different blocks, and I bought a spool of black thread from a local arts'n'crafts store.

Each bullet consisted of four 1x4 bricks, one 1x1 brick (to make the shell casing), and then later upgraded the design to include one 1x1 cylinder-shaped brick (which is supposed to be the actual "bullet"). I think I made a total of 16 of these belted rounds before I ran out of bricks of the right size (without taking apart the Uzi for extra parts, anyway).

For balance, as one long string of thread of string made the belt go all of the place while moving the gun around, I took the spool of thread and made two 4-foot pieces of thread and pinched one piece of thread between each shell's first and second 1x4 bricks, and the second piece of thread between the third and fourth 1x4 bricks.

After attaching all 16 bullets to the two pieces of thread, I took the remaining ends of the strings, and attached them to the inside of the gun, pinching them between piece of the inside of the machine gun, reassembling that portion of the gun around the string.

did any of them have working actions/ remove-able mags? it easy to make

kliefox In reply to ace3456789 [2011-10-02 15:50:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh, and the current model I have made of the AK-47 actually has a spring behind the bolt, so when you manipulate the bolt-pull, the bolt returns forward on its own.

Yes, all of the weapons have moving parts (bolts, slides, and/or actions) and most of them have removable magazines (the only ones that don't are the M60 Machinegun, and then Remington 870 pump shotgun).

None of them actually shoot anything, but I've seen people make very on-model ones that can.

Thanks for taking the time to give your compliments and critiques.

Part of the challenge/limitation I gave myself was to use nothing but square-shaped blocks, and still have removable magazines and the ability to manipulate or cycle the actions. I feel I succeeded in meeting that challenge.

Now my gun models in their current incarnation will never be as fancy or functional as this guy's stuff

But that is not what I was going for when I made these models.
