Description
There is a local gallery doing an homage to Salvador Dali. Dalit is one of my favorite artists, so I wanted to do at least one piece inspired by him. I was flipping through an art book of all of his paintings that my boyfriend bought for me (spoiled, I know), and found a small series he did on skeletal birds. When I wrote poetry, I used a lot of imagery of skeletal birds because there is something incredibly lovely and tragic about avian skeletons. Seeing that image, it clicked that this is what I HAD to do, even if it's not accepted.

To add more signature "Dali" to the work, I painted a few of his signature crutches.

Although, I am not positive if I am finished with this one, I do enjoy the colors and the symbolism in the piece thus far.
