It's been a long while since I made this, but basically the rig was a simple skeleton like you would expect, with IK handles (on-off able) for arms and legs. Pretty much the most basic character rigs. There was a lot of keyframes in the part where the character rolls. I hope that helps you!

Thanks dude = D. I you haven't seen you can check "Le canyon de la mort" in my gallery. It's my animation demo reel short movie, the sum of what I learned at school doing lil' animations like this one.

what compression settings did you use on the animation and also when you exported the flash... the quality looks sweet, and I've been wanting to post some of my 3d work for a whil.

I bet your teacher made a tutorial for you in order to do the movements of the character. In the future I am going to soon learn to do 3D moddling and animation on Litewave in the Digital Designs class.

Marvellously done...
my jealousy of your school toting maya 6 knows no bounds... we blew our 1.5 million dollar government grant on corel draw. And football uniforms.

lol yeah... and it would be even better with MIGHTY FIRE EFFECTS on it !!! (sorry erm... the overexposure to computers in my 3d class is making me worship those maya glowing burning particles XD... kindding of course... but still I love fire effects ^^... anyway...)
thanks a lot

thanks ^^
in fact thats not really my first 3d i did some before with blender and another small animation before this one in maya...
but the caracter was alreay fully ready to animate... i just spent lot of time on this work and it gave what you see now
And besides, 3d animation, which is not as complicated as many think, is basically similar to animation in flash... and I did alot of this heheh
