Aria was on her way home when she took a wrong corner and found herself in a dirty back alley. She looked around and very quickly came to the conclusion that this was someplace she really shouldn't linger. As she turned to leave, however, she saw that her path was blocked by three women, all of them looking at her with a mixture of jealousy and contempt.

"C-can I help you?" Aria asked, a bit on edge by the presence of these women.

"Well, well, well," One of the women started saying, practically ignoring Aria's question. "If it isn't the neighborhood hobo."

"Neighborhood harlot more like," said one of the other girls, sneering. "Every time the guys see her dancing they stop and stare..."

The third girl wasn't saying anything, just walking around Aria like a predator stalking their prey, glaring daggers at her.

Aria felt small next to these women, and moved to leave, but she didn't raise her bare foot high enough as she did and ended up bumping it hard against a loose rock. "Ow!"

"Ah, what's the matter, sweetie?" The first girl chided. "Can't afford a pair of shoes?"

"She probably spends all her money on that gaudy jewelry she wears." The second stated.

Before she could react, the third girl reached towards her and pulled her pendant, snapping the cord. "Gaudy and cheap, just like you."

Aria, a bit hurt and agitated, reached to try and take back her pendant, but the other girls responded by shoving her, her back colliding against the wall.

Aria looked up to see the three women descending on her, their polished nails like claws as they raked across her body, tearing the jewelry she wore off of her and shredding her dress in the process. One of them even bothered to pull her anklet off, and another tore her shawl off of her waist. It ended just as suddenly as it had began, the girls taking her jewelry and wrapping it in Aria's own shawl, before walking away.

Aria attempted to stand and give chase, but one of the women stayed behind just long enough to kick her back to the ground. "That's a much better look for you." She said quietly, before spitting in Aria's face and walking off.

After a few moments Aria finally stood up, her balance a bit shaky. She placed her hand on the graffiti covered brick wall for a moment to steady herself, before wiping the spit off her face and feeling a very strong urge to cry.
