Very well done, the hair looks realistic, which is hard to achieve sometimes in airbrushing

Nice pose you have there.

Also, the shape of the head and the way the fur falls over the chest is really becoming. Not to mention the feathering/thinner fur on the tail.

If I may ask, why does the tail look that way? In my opinion it looks like a domestic dog's tail. Wild canines tend to have the same length fur all the way down the tail unless shedding, while many domestic breeds have the varying lengths of fur year round.

You raise a good point. The short answer is that of the various ways I drew it, this one ended up working the best. The longer answer is that I wanted to minimize the number of traits that were either pure human or pure wolf. One of the ways I could do that was to make some areas of fur read as hair-like instead (the ruff of fur over the chest is another example of that, as is a crest of fur down the spine that isn't really visible in this concept). The tail was an especially good candidate for that since it's a purely wolf-like trait. We did end up switching the tail to a more wolf like one though, because that's easier to model

It's an indie game that's in the very early stages of development at the moment. If you're curious, our website is www.Smubo.com (it's under construction at the moment, so there's not much there, but that will change )

Ah, right XD Dawn of the Wolf is a 3D action RPG about a young soldier in a war-torn country who agrees to be the test subject for an alchemist promising a low-risk way to boost the soldiers' abilities. Unfortunately for this young soldier, the side effects are much more extreme than he was led to believe, and his allies are fewer than he thought. The player will have to find ways to get around or defeat the people after him as well as monsters far more powerful than the werewolf the soldier himself is becoming while he hunts for a cure.

In short, it's a very story-centric action RPG in a medieval setting that gives the player multiple possible methods (such as stealth, combat, or tactics) to go about achieving their goals.
