Secret # 15 I don't care.About anything really. I know it's caused by depression but I hate it. I may fail a class this year and I don't care. It's hard to care about things that seem silly once you have your own things to worry about.

I want to be so zen that I don't take on other people's issues and am not overwhelmed by anything.
I want to be able stand in the middle of the storm and be calm, clear headed and unemotional.
Not that I want to lose empathy but not to care about meeting expectations or caring what people think or what society demands of me. Even the damned commercials are making demands of me and I just wish they would stfu!
I want to be a caring person but I also don't want to care.

Yeah the school is being amazing at helping me because they know everything that's been going on so they're really helpful actually.

I'm Failing 7th grade. But the thing is...i really don't care. when so many things are going on in my life, i don't have time to worry about that. i wish I did though

I'm failing 2 classes of my 10th grade year luckily if I do fail it doesn't effect me in school nearly at all because they were 11th grade classes. But I wish I could care enough to have higher grades like I used to I miss feeling smart.

yea me too. I used to be the top student in my vlass that only got 90's. now I'm the nuisance that gets 70's.

You will feel what it means to care again. Depression may keep you from feeling that for now, but the place that caring comes from is so much deeper and more a part of who you really are than depression can ever hope to be. Your ability to care will always be there. Depression won't. (Granted, one of the worst things about depression is how it makes us feel like it's permanent and will never go away; that's among the worst of its lies).

I have no doubt I will regain my caring. Because it was who I was before, the girl who never cared about herself only others. I took on everyone's issues and that led to my downfall but I've learned what I can handle and how not to go back to that. Depression is an ugly trickster though and that is it's worst characteristic.

I try to care about friends as much as I can, but it's like I go between complete apathy or complete obssession over things, there's no place in-between where I can find a peaceful equilibrium.
