Description
So...I decided to redo the first couple of pages. The next 3 will just be updated, but this is a completely new page. I wanted to get these redone before I really get into the next chapter. The old pages didn't really fit with the lore I've put together. For those of you who remember the old pages, you'll notice the changes. When I started this AU, I didn't have a clue how I wanted to approach a comic. I also hadn't nailed down the lore. But I knew I had to just jump into it or it would never happen. So I let myself skip having a smooth start or solid lore and ran with it. I've got a lot more figured out now.
To simplify my life by saving me the pain of constantly updating links, you can read the comic in these locations:
DEVIANTART (recommended because keeping it organized on dA is easier)
TUMBLR

For some context, Sans is 18 and Papyrus is 16 for the bulk of the story. BUT, not in this chapter. This is a year or two previous, but I haven't quite figured out how long I want the time gap to be(just count on it being a year or two. I wanted to balance Ed and Al's age(folly of youth...) with the fact that Sans and Pap are adults in canon. This whole thing is basically bending the canon of both FMA and UT and bending them to my needs, haha.

I still liked the beginning of your story, but I understand you since I'm a mess at writing those too XD i just want to get to the juicy stuff come on XD but yeah that led me to redraw a lot of stuff and it sucks to throw so much work away XD oh well

Well, the beginning isn't much different now. I just wanted it to be less jarring. The biggest reason I redid the pages was to update the mechanics for coding in-world. I never really wanted to stick with transmutation circles, but hadn't figured out what I wanted to do instead.
It is a shame that the previous effort was thrown away, but it wasn't a waste! It was a learning process. I bet it was for you too. So no regrets!

While some people would say 'it's not how you make a good story', I highly approve starting on impulse and then adjusting small details you are no longer using in the story. Because it's better to go fix something than spend years of preparing and planning until, eventually, there'll be no need in creating a story at all. Either you lose interest in it or you'll be satisfied with your plan.
You might know that I started AO the same way, on impulse, without lore and any story to work with simply because that's how I create good things. I just start, drop details here and there, and after a while I use them and it blooms into something bigger. One of the reasons I tend to enjoy adventure based text roleplay, I have years of practice in making a great story on impulse. And it still keeps me interested in the comic since I know basic plot, ideas and events, but I don't know exactly how it unfolds, even though artstyle pisses me off and I can't help but think on how long it'll take to finish AO.
Or maybe I'm just overthinking it.
Anyway, you did great and I approve it. Since it seems like we think the same way, I think the resulting story will be a marvelous input for Undertale and FMA community. It's awesome to see your story in notifications once more.

I would normally want to get things figured out first, but I really like putting together lore and sometimes can't get out of that stage.
I purposefully started this out with vague detail (what are they doing, exactly? why are they doing it? How old are they?), so that when I figured those things out, there would be minimal corrections that would need to be made.
Sometimes you just gotta dive right into a project! I've been told a lot that motivation follows action.
It was good to just be able to post something. Haven't been able to finish much lately. I've just been jumping around between projects when I'm not busy with work, school(3-5 hour homework for my drawing class...) or *trying* to have a social life. My weekends should be more free next month though.

Sometimes you have to break common rules and make mistakes if it bears a better result than the one you'll get by doing everything by the book
Oof! I hope you'll be able to balance everything eventually

Innovation comes from going against the conventional! It's progress.
Me too. I'm not by any means the busiest person in the world or anything. But I don't have much energy to expend. I just want to sleep all day.

Indeed the lore you've done is outstanding, still can't get the imagery from the previous pages out of my mind tho
*disturbed*

There's a lot more lore where that came from too.
Disturbing? I have been successful!
