It's not perfect, I know. Yes, I'm proud of it. This was my second drawing of him AND I had no references.I've been obsessing over this character lately, as you may be able to tell. *gets ready for "oh bother"s*

This is really good line art of MK.
His cape looks elegent. Simple yet wonderful at the same time.
if I may say the only thing it looks like you need to work on are his feet.
The mask is fantastic, and so are his hands. I'd say work on the feet.

The cape was the first thing my eyes were drawn too it's very, very good.
I've found that drawing them as circles (or oblesce like objects) really helps with getting the rounded effect to his feet. I used to also draw a line down the middle so I would remember the curved top to get the flat bottem look to them.
No problem. I actually love giving them, most people don't like them though....
If you want me to critic anything else I'd be happy too though.

Really? I didn't think it was that good.. but then again, artists are very critical about things of their's that nobody else can see. I may have been able to draw it, but shading it is another matter.
I'll have to do that more often.
I can see why people don't like them. My sister doesn't like it when I give them to her. But, whether or not they annoy me, I take it into consideration. Because all they're trying to do is help you improve.

It is indeed. And yes shading is always another matter.
It helped me tremendously when I started drawing him. Now I don't have to do that anymore, but it's always the simple things that help in teh end I noticed.
I love then, but no one gives them to me. I wish I got them *laughs* then again getting them is always a pain.

Shading, shading, shading. Such a pain. Why must it be so difficult?
Yes, basics shapes are all over the place in art, so it's a good place to start until you feel you don't need them anymore. Though I still use them in almost everything I draw. Except when I'm using a pen, then I just hope I don't screw it up.
I'd offer to give one, but I'm terrible at Critiques. I can sometimes see when something's wrong, I just can't explain what it is... if I can even tell.
I don't feel bad, I'm kinda proud that I've made it this far by teaching myself with observations and whatnot. I'm most impressed by the self-taught people. Besides, the art classes I've taken don't really help me much in the stuff I'm trying to improve on.

Yup. The more you improve, the more mistakes you're able to spot, and them more critical you are of yourself.
