Thank you for the suggestion and for the feature!Homework for my character design class, my assignment was to create a character that personifies a medium. Being that it's what I use the most, I chose digital. The drawing is, however, multi-medium, since I began with a pencil drawing (which had quite a few anatomical errors). I've studied Hyung-Tae Kim's work and his process, hoping to influence my "style" a bit more. I think it's time to journey a bit away from the "moe" style, especially from the responses my last project got.
The tablet pictured here is a Cintiq, however I actually painted this on my own Graphire 4 (we do have Cintiqs at my school, but I wanted to do this while watching Breaking Bad in my room... hehe).
The painting in the Cintiq screen is one I did a while back of Samus, which can be found here .
Original image was 11" x 17", 2B pencil on Bristol.
Painted in Photoshop CS5.

Aw man, that sucks! D: Mine broke a bit, and I no longer have the button that's on the side. My school is slowly replacing all the Cintiqs we use, and next quarter my pen will be obsolete.

Wow! Beautiful image. I guess that you really like your Wacom tablet. I try to use mine but, I just can't get used to it. I'm forcing myself to use it as a mouse. Well, anyway, great work.

I'm at SCAD to study sequential art, and I want to draw manga. I know the cliche of "American child wants to do manga but can't," but I believe, no, I know I can.
