Tried some new things, including a little more push of "realism" into my moe style, to help mature the style in a way. I played a little Tera last night and just thought about that. I'm going to be painting my Lore of the Envoy comic, and a couple of the characters would look more moe, but some would look more realistic, and those two side-by-side would be jarring! However, the last time I tried combining the two, it seemed to make people uneasy, perhaps too forced and almost in that uncanny valley. I tried to retain the feel of "moe" here, while pushing some more realistic features.

If it makes you feel any better, sometimes the same group accepts my art and then declines it for "quality". It's like "What happened? Did I get worse or-.."
But seriously, looking at this artwork gives off the "official art" feel.

Ehhh, I think my eyes are bad. My stuff used to always go through but recently I've been declined like... every time. My polish has gotten worse I guess. I'm probably trying to get away with too much looseness or something.
