Description
The crusading knight rides across an open feild, he examines the lush green fields and pauses to take a deep breath of the morning air, when he is suddenly rattled by a hard strike to the helm. The knight turns to find a mounted samurai, Yumi drawn back and aim for the samuria. The samurai releases and the arrow soars towards the knight at blinding speed, but it ricochets harmlessly of the knight's breast plate. The knight raises his crossbow and fires it, the bolt races towards the samuria, missing his head by mere inches. The Samurai recovers his composure and turns to fire, but the knight is charging fast, lance trained for a lethal strike. The samurai opens fire with a volley of arrows, but the knight is unhampered by the projectiles, so the samurai then fires into the horse, sinking several arrows in the steed. The knight enters range as the samurai prepares to move aside, but the knight delivers a power full blow to the opposing steed, sending his lance through the horse, killing it. The knight releases his lance as the horse topples over, the samurai dismounts and fires into the knight's horse and brings it down. The knight dismounts his fallen steed and charges his opponent, The Samurai then draws his spear and thrusts, the armored foe is unharmed but disoriented. The samurai thrusts again, but the knight smacks the attack aside with his shield before grabbing the spear and snapping it with a sheild punch. The Samurai takes out his kanabo and strikes, but the solid shield repels the blow. The samuria then sweeps the knights legs with club, and swings overhanded, but the knight defends with his shield. The knight returns to his feet, pushing back the kanabo strikes, the samurai winds up and swings, but the knight smacks the club with his shield, sending it soaring. The knight throws a shield punch, but the samurai ducks and rolls, retrieving his kanabo. The Samurai swings again, but the knight attacks with his morning star, splintering the kanabo. The samuria retreats as he evades a devistaving blow from the knight, the knight goes to retrieves his bow and halberd before giving chase. The knight runs into a heavy forest, the samurai leaps down with naginata in hands. The knight builds up momentum with his morning star, but the samurai catches the chain with his blade and disarm the knight. The samuria swins for the knights head, but the armor renders the attack useless. The samuria strikes with the blunt end, but this also has no effect, the drops his shield and draws his halberd. The samuria swings, but the knight blocks with the staff and then counter attacks, but the samurai deflects the attack. The samurai stakes his naginata in the ground behind the knight and ducks under the knight's thrust. The samurai delivers a palm upper cut to the knight, rattling his head before sending three sides kicks into the knights ribs and staggers him slightly. The samurai quickly retrieves his weapon and trips the knight, he then aims for the eye slots and thrusts, but the knight rolls to the side and grabs his weapon. The knight and the samurai lock shafts, the knight then pushs the samurai around a bit before pinning the naginata to a tree with his axe head. The samuria strikes with his palm, but the knight grapples his opponent's fist and begins to crush it, the samurai tries to kick but gets repels by the knight's fore arm, the knight releases his foe and delivers a powerful right hook that puts the samurai on his ass. The knight removes his halberd from the tree and swings overhead, the samurai narrowly dodges the knights swing. The samurai retrieves his blade and sweeps it to trip his foe, but the knight counters by catching the blade between the spear and axe head of his weapon and forces the samurai back against the tree. The samurai thrusts with the blade, but the knight swings with great force and lops of the head of the naginata. The Knight thrusts with his halberd, but the Samuria ducks, judo flips the knight and uses his forearm as a choker. The knight throws the samurai off of him, the samurai continues the assault as the knight rises, but the knight grapples the samurai and throws him off a small cliff onto a sandy beach. The samurai struggles to his feet, the knight follows the samurai. The samuria quickly slashes at the knight, but the knight's plates easily repel the swords slashing. The knight draws his bastard sword and the two warriors clash, each strike either deflected or blocked, each side step encircles and each thrush parried. One clash of blades cracks the katana and staggers the samurai. The samuria gets desperate and delivers a groin kick that staggers and disorents the knight. The katana is then drove into the gap under the knights armpit, drawing blood from him. The knight groans in pain and then grabs the swords blade before he delivers a headbutt to the samurai, this rings the samurai's bell. The removes the katana from his body and swings his sword, connecting a solid shot with the samurai's chest. The samurai screams as the blow sends him to the ground with thunderouse force, his body emiting a loud snapping noise. The knight then thrusts his sword through the samurai's head, finishing the fight. The Knight raises his sword on high a release a loud victory cry.Related content

With all the gods going to extremes to acheive their victory, it's nice to see a duel that's a little bit more down to Earth

Honestly, I'm surprised at your choice letting the Knight win. Most people will side with the Samurai out of mere bias towards either...
1) the common bias towards Japan as being awesome (which it is, but moving on)
2) the common bias that Eastern > Western
Also, mentioning the Samurai's Yumi is a good point. They began as mounted archers before they were swordsmen, and even after the emphasis on the sword came along, they were still excellent archers.

hey, what can I say, east may be beast, but west is best....joking aside, I just don't see the samurai having a weapon that can deal with the defensive power of the knight, nor can he keep up with the knight's offensive capabilities...speaking of east vs west, check out the deity deathmatches, I think you'd enjoy them.

Ah good, you mentioned the Samurai's bow. People tend to forget that Samurai were archers.

damn, this old thing? Yeah, the thing is, arrows were diversions against knights, allowing smaller knight units to get the upper hand on them. Sooner or later, the Samurai is going to have to get with in swinging distance of knight...ask the mongols, the moors, and the turks how well that turned out...especially when the knights are put together at the last minute and outnumbered.

pretty good story, and i like how you made each caricter have his strong point, quick moving and strong armor. i also like how you included the sword cracking from intence fighting and the holes in the knights armor.
