Shoulder and forearm mounted blades are used for 'hit and run' assaults to cause severe lacerations and to defend from incoming physical attack.
Bladedancer is an incredibly swift jaeger, specialising in outmaneuvering opponents and delivering flurries of bladed strikes and rams to keep kaiju off balance and break their guard. Because of this, it's legs are powerful and perfectly balanced with a 'cloven' foot design. The projectile weapons it sports are used to provide backup to other, more heavy-hitting jaegers such as Warlord Nova or fend of attacks from a distance. Bladedancer's weakness comes into play when it is grappled by a foe as it's small stature and weak armour leave it lacking in close quarters combat and a solid combo or two from a category 4 kaiju would leave it devastated. It makes up for this with the deadly plasma array set into it's chest, which emits a lethal plasma energy attack that melts through organic armour, hide and bone with relative ease, but can only be operated for moderate periods of time before having to deactivate for a cooldown period.
It is piloted by cousins Layla Sullivan and Duncan Blaire who both practice capoeira and fencing to keep their movements fluid and their reflexes sharp.
