Yea honestly I got tired of all the fan art depicting engineers stronger/superior to the predators. Nowhere in cannon whether comics or movies would suggest this. If anything predators would be stronger. In comics with the annual avp, a single predator in a near death state with a chestburster in him picks up a queen single handedly and they are both tossed to the magma below.
Then avp life and death/fire and stone comes in and this engineer(not the synthetic evolved being) comes along and is just supper strong like it does not make sense. Later on in the series an engineer gets killed by a queen alien attack and to me its like how can a predator be weaker than an engineer but able to kill an engineer superior.
So then behold, I drew a little sketch and scouted for an artist and by the maker I found this great artist that brought it all together. I chose neomorph just to give the xeno a break, was tempted to put a predalien instead but I think it came out beautiful as is.

I think the neomorph fits perfectly because it feels like Predator Universe is saying the Prometheus universe ain't sh*t, which I don't really consider the Xenomorph a part of given its origins within that Universe.
But that's a personal opinion and I understand isn't the reflection of the artwork.

You know, I for one enjoyed prometheus in what it coukd have opened up to. I feel like Scott veered away from the original idea after the backlash from fans that there wasnt enough xenomorph for a movie suppose to be a prequel so then he did away with this new engineer saga and stuffed the sequel with forgettable characters for xenos to kill and in the end was horrible.
Prometheus would have been ok if they stuck to their guns and expanded the engineers and showing their ultimate fall to the xenos instead of David killing off a world in one stroke which is what the black liquid was suppose to do but to me it felt lazy coming from David against the engineers.
But I see your point. The start of prometheus and its sequel pretty much kills continuity and xenomorph franchise. But we all choose to just forget it all and say 1 and 2 r the ones that really matter and everything else was just to kill time until a proper sequel comes out

Don't get me wrong, I love the aliens and engineers but up against a predator they are overmatched! Predator for the win hands down.
