I know the Toa look like crap, but this is my first time drawing mecha bionicle (other than a random mask or two), so go easy on me.
Anyway, this is what I think every time I watch the scene. Steam is water vapor, not hot air. IT BUGS ME.

I always figured with that scene that yes, while it's technically hot water, their level of scientific knowledge on the island (which occasionally seems very ingenious and high, and occasionally seems basic...), they'd consider steam just a very humid type of air... Also, Tahu probably doesn't care much about science. You can't beat science in a competition and science doesn't care about your accomplishments, so why should he care?

Fair point, but I think Tahu was referring to how his hear would evaporate her water, making steam, which is water vapour, which most people will consider a gas, and therefore qualifies as air.
...but still, I like that scene and this made it ten times funnier xP

welllllll I wouldn't go so far as to say that what he said was wrong but what she said was technically also correct. Water vapour is gaseous H2O but it's still water.
